You're a contestant on a futuristic game show where survival is the aim of the game. Fight back waves of robots, improve your stature, and earn more money.
The core mechanic of Disassembled is simply another wave shooter like so many other virtual reality shooting games. But don't let that put you off, this one has a lot going for it. The graphics look great, and a number of different arenas give you plenty of variety as you play through. One nice touch is that in between rounds, when you're in your hub where you can buy new equipment, you can also get a close look at the robots you will be facing, see their weaknesses, and plan your defence (and offence) accordingly. Your aim is to progress through the ranks of celebrity until you are the champion, earning gold and silverware to fill up trophy cabinet as you go. It does require a bit of grinding to begin with, which may be a good or bad thing depending on your tastes.
Not Revolutionary But Good
Disassembled isn't breaking new ground with a few additions to the standard wave shooter format here, but it is a solid example of this type of game, and if you don't already own a half dozen of them, this would be well worth your hard earned money.
